Aboutme
I'm a software developer based in London. I've spent most of my working life on the back end — services, data, and the unglamorous plumbing that keeps other people's software upright.
I like problems that look dull from the outside and turn out to have a genuinely interesting shape once you're inside them. Most of what I write here comes out of that: a technique worth remembering, a side project that took an unexpected turn, or a decision I want to be able to explain to myself later.
What's here
This isn't a blog in the usual sense. I don't post on a schedule and I've no interest in pretending otherwise. When I build something I'm pleased with, it goes in Work — what I made, why, and what I'd do differently.
The other half of the site is the gallery. Comics and video games are the two hobbies that have outlasted all the others, and drawing is where they meet. Ink, digital, the occasional pixel piece — it all ends up in there.
Elsewhere
LinkedIn is the only social account I keep up with, so that's the best place to reach me. Code lives on GitHub.
